What we collect through this website, why, and what we will not do with it.

SkyMap Drone Services LLC (“SkyMap”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. This page explains what we collect from visitors, why, and how we handle it. We have written it in plain English.
What we collect
Whatever you type into a form on this site and send us — usually your name, phone number, email address, the site location and a description of the work. If you send drawings, plans or a boundary file, we hold those too.
Our website host also records ordinary technical information when you visit: browser type, pages viewed, and an approximate location derived from your network address. This is standard for any website.
What we do with it
We use it to quote your job, carry out the work, and stay in touch about it. We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
Imagery we capture for you
Aerial imagery and data we capture on your job belongs to the working relationship we agree with you. We like to show finished work in our own portfolio and on social media. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not — there is no charge for that and no need to explain.
Where a flight incidentally captures neighbouring property or people, we do not publish material that identifies anyone without a good reason and we will remove anything on request.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers handle parts of this operation on our behalf — our website host, our email provider, and the photogrammetry processing software we use. They see your information only in order to provide those services.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that keep it working and, where analytics are enabled, cookies that count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may behave oddly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and project records for as long as we need them for the work and for our own business records. To ask us to delete what we hold about you, email Gary@skymapdrone.com and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to see, correct or delete the information we hold, or to ask us not to sell it. We do not sell it. Write to the address above to exercise any of these.
Children
This website is intended for adults and for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No website can promise perfect security and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
